Going Home

March 30, 2011

I love going home. I haven’t been home since Christmas, and I’m VERY excited to drive home to Houston for Easter break. One of my favorite feelings in the world is crossing the inner loop driving south on I-45 and seeing the skyline rise above me, followed by the bouncing drive on the Pierce Elevated past the Aquarium. I hate the Aquarium, but it’s definitely a welcome sight headed into town. Houston is hard to describe. It’s dirty and beautiful and full of food and culture and mosquitos and furniture stores and love. It mostly feels like home, and I can’t wait to be back.

Driving home:

Oh, Houston. I’ll see you soon.
