To Market

September 18, 2011

One of my favorite things about Oxford is the outdoor market every Wednesday morning. Our classes are scheduled around it, and it is quite the occasion for our house. We love the market. We love food.

This brie has been the best purchase I’ve made since I’ve been here. On sandwiches, in desserts, on bread with fruit, by itself (I should be embarrassed by this, but I’m not), in eggs, on burgers–there’s not much I won’t put brie on. It’s one of my favorite foods of all time.

And a little bit of GATA love from one of the vendors.

A man who carries my groceries. I’m the luckiest.

Matt. That’s all that needs to be said.

Fresh pasta being made in a restaurant in Oxford. It’s one of Jamie Oliver’s restaurants; I want to try it before we leave.

I don’t know what these are, but they fall off the trees and they’re all over the ground. They’re pretty, too. Everything’s pretty in Oxford, though.
