Thanksgiving: Day 4

November 4, 2011

Day 4: This Semester
When this is posted, I’ll be back in Spain; this time I’ll be in Madrid for about 24 hours, then on to Morocco with Zack, Blaine, and Caroline. Today I talked to my Uncle Jimmy for a long time about traveling and the importance of experiencing life to the fullest, and about the significance of the memories I’m making. Hearing him talk about his traveling experiences, I began to realize that someday, I’ll be 70 years old remembering these months and the many more I’ll hopefully spend exploring the world. I am amazed at what my life is like right now, and I hope that when I come away from this experience, I’ll know more about God, the world, and myself. I have already learned so much, and I am deeply grateful that my parents have afforded me this opportunity to take cheesy pictures in front of national monuments. Just kidding, mom…I’m doing really well in school and learning important things, promise.
